This month, check out local Jacksonville Beach AirBnb vacation rental,
This local rental in Jacksonville Beach is a staycation waiting to happen (for us locals at least). Modern touches, amenities, quick beach access, and everything worth seeing is a bike ride or walk away. Seas The Day is the perfect getaway for the couple, family, or person who wants to experience Jax Beach as a true local.
This beautiful rental was started by an amazing mother/son team that made it their sole mission to bring Jacksonville Beach a modern, unique beach rental to kick back and relax in.
Meet your hosts! Mother and son, Kiki and Kent, team up to provide you a stay you won’t soon forget! Kent is a full time firefighter/paramedic, professional beach volleyball player and coach, surfer, superhost, traveler, local Jax beach resident, and now basic tradesman (check him out @jaxbeachvb).
Mom, Kiki, is a retired Broward county teacher that has been an instrumental part in helping to renovate, plan, decorate, and correspond with guest inquiries. After 5 months of renovations, we continue to work to give our guests everything they need and more to enjoy a great stay right in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, Florida ❤️
Kiki and Kent, your hosts at Seas The Day, who are some of the kindest people you will ever meet!
My wife and I decided to stay for a three day staycation, as we live in Saint Augustine, so we were looking forward to get away for a few days. We chose to stay Sunday-Tuesday so that we could be around some of the weekend crowd, but also have a chance to see what it would be like during the week. We were pleasantly surprised both days. Sunday was a little crowded at the beach, as was to be expected.
We were happy to learn that we could rent beach cruisers, and found ourselves ditching the car keys to bike across the street to the beach to look for sharks teeth. We are shark tooth hunters and we treasure the time we can spend looking for teeth. Since I’m born and raised in Jacksonville, I’ve pretty much looked over all of Jacksonville Beach for sharks teeth. Some spots are better than others, but I prefer other areas, if we’re being honest. We chose a spot a couple streets up from 4th Ave, although I won’t tell you the exact spot because that would be cheating. We locked the beach cruisers up and made our way down to the surf where we managed to pull tooth after tooth out of the water,
This was an excellent place to stay! Far enough from Third Street but close enough to walk or take a beach cruiser to the beach, restaurants, or bars. It’s modern amenities are extremely appreciated, the location is close enough, you can get to all the touristy spots very easily (though if you’re a wilting flower in the Florida humidity like I am, driving now and then or riding a bike is ideal) Very close to several nice beaches, Jacksonville Beach is right across the street, along with Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach. The owner, Kent, is extremely helpful and accommodating. They keep the property up very well. We stayed in the top floor suite and had an entire floor to ourselves. I loved not having to lug around keys or keycards, all we needed to do was plug in the code to get into the building and then another code to get into our unit – I really appreciate the added security, with a locked entry only accessible by guests, VERY private. Our suite was perfect even with a toddler and with a dog. Well-appointed kitchen—NOTHING WAS MISSING!! We got up the next morning and started kicking ourselves when we realized we forgot the coffee. Much to our chagrin, we opened up the cabinet and saw a large jar of the best part of waking up. The beds had beautiful bedding and were very comfortable!! There’s nothing quite like fresh, clean white linens, towels, and sheets. After a day out at the beach in front of the house, we managed to find over ten sharks teeth each! We loved coming back and going straight to the top deck to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. We loved turning on the lights and kicking our feet up to chill. We loved that Kent saw the need for technology. He has a very nice, high quality TV mounted on the wall that also has Roku TV and Netflix. We stayed when Game of Thrones was on, so instead of running to the store to buy an HDMI cord, I easily was able airdrop my show to the TV. We will definitely come here again. We had a great time and felt very much at home at this boutique beach rental.
From the moment I first called and spoke to Kent to the moment we left with a hug, SEASTHEDAY was the PERFECT place for us – we were delighted with our choice. It was perfect. The height was great in the shower/tub (I’m almost 6 feet tall, so it was nice to have room) and the toilet was new and super clean (sometimes I can be weird about using other peoples comodes) The water got hot, just like I like it, and Kent had everything so neatly done that we had room for everything. There are two built in squares in the shower that allowed for my wife and I to put our supplies in each cubby. We left wanting one for our own shower! The entire house and all of the rooms were clean, and we all know how important that is. The bed was quite comfortable, the A/C worked well, and we left the ceiling fan on at all times. The fan in the master had a remote and would blow you away on helicopter mode. The A/C gets SO COLD in there! Luckily, Kent thought to leave blankets. The closets were large in both rooms and held two women’s clothing and suitcases, we also had two dressers we used. Refrigerator was large and new, kept our sodas and water bottles icy cold. I usually travel with my own pillows but did not this trip and that was happy. We slept well, and didn’t really have trouble with street noise. We thought we’d hear noise from the church across the street the first morning at 9 (we had gotten in late the night before) and didn’t hear a peep. The dark-out curtains were lifesavers. Not enough rentals keep these and I think it’s one of the most important things to have in a rental home. We have stayed at other B&Bs/guest houses before in Jax Beach and heard people partying and being loud all hours of the night. Not here. We didn’t have to worry about extra foot traffic either because where the house is – the street is pretty much only used by people that live there. You can hear some noise from guests in the room below you (especially If they are a Tri Delt and a Sigma Chi playing house for the weekend) but it was normal for the location and nothing annoying. The quiet was extremely needed. Even with Third Street being practically right out the front door, the noise was minimal.
We would absolutely stay here, in this room, without thinking about it on our next trip. Perfect for us, and perfect to accommodate my specific needs.
